With an average of 300 sunny days a year, the warmest winter temperatures in Europe and a vast choice of harbours equipped for all kinds of vessels scattered along its 115 kilometres of coastline, the Côte d'Azur is a highly appealing destination. Factor in some breathtaking nature reserves and some of the world's most famous and picturesque seaside resorts, and a cruise here becomes mandatory.

This stretch of the French Riviera, which runs along the Mediterranean from the Italian border as far as St. Tropez, was one of the first ever tourist destinations; the European nobility and high society have been spending their winters here since the mid-19th century. Cannes, Nice and Monte Carlo are the most famous and worldly resorts, but quieter pleasures are to be found in the smaller villages such as Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Antibes, not to mention the stunning Porquerolles natural park.
